EVENTS
On March 26th, 2009, Electra Energy provided training about the Free Market of Energy, at the Chamber of Industry, Business and Services in Caxias do Sul, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The event demonstrated to consumers how the environment of free market operates. Many diversified companies and industries of the State of Caxias attended.
The training included a series of talks with break for lunch, and afterwards, a cocktail party. Some of the themes presented and debated were: Introduction of the Free Market of Energy; Risks and Benefits of the Free market of Energy; Scenarios and Expectation for the Free Market; and functionality of the Market of Renewable Energies.
On March 12th, Electra Energy once again, awarded, its clients with the trophy of Renewable Energies.
The event took place at Carlos Gomes Theatre, in the city of Blumenau (Santa Catarina), and was attended by: Albany International, Amanco, Bunge Alimentos, Cremer, Perdigão, Sincol,and other special guests.
Besides the aforementioned companies, the event included the participation of Mr. Robson Tomasoni of the Fundação Municipal do Meio Ambiente de Blumenau (FAEMA) (Municipal Foundation of the Environment of Blumenau).
With these two events, Electra Energy reaffirms its commitment to the environment and its position of leadership in the commercialization of renewable energies by recognizing and thanking its clients with the Reward of Renewable Energies.

The Renewable Energies Event (PRENREV) recognizes and rewards Electra's clients who are consumers of renewable electrical energy sources.
As the International Energy Agency explains: "Renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly. In its various forms, it derives constantly from the sun, or from heat generated deep within the earth." The burning of sugar cane bagasse, rice shell, solar and wind energies are some examples of how to obtain energy here is Brazil from renewable sources.
On November 20th in Caxias do Sul, RS and November 25th in Campinas, SP, Electra Energy awarded a trophy to its clients whose energy consumption did not harmfully impact the environment.
The first event took place at the Chamber of Industry, Business and Services in Caxias do Sul, RS. It was attended by the following companies: Carbonox, Carraro, D'Itália, Martinazzo, Meincol, MGA, Peilecco Nobre, Solae e Sulbrás, as well as other special guests.
The event in Campinas, SP took place at The Royal Palm Plaza Hotel Resort and was attended by the following: Brasimet, Cifa Têxtil, Dura Automotive, Magal and Mosaic.
Beside to the reward ceremony, Mr. Claudio Fabiano Alves, Director and President of Electra Energy, gave a talk entitled Scenarios and Expectations for the Brazilian Electrical Sector. This subject is relevant to all companies and industries who are in the process of change or who are considering changing to free market electrical energy.
